Three prize-winning undergraduate authors will discuss their work at the University Writing Program’s Spring Prized Writing Student Author Event.

John Paul Aboubechara’s “A Price for Bliss: The Risks and Benefits for the Use of Anesthesia for Children” deals with the controversial and complex medical treatment for children during surgery and other painful procedures. Spencer Scholes examines how a rapidly changing political climate affected approval polls for ‘Obamacare’ in “The Breakdown of Political Warfare: Discovering Catalysts.”

Prized Writing is an annual publication of the University Writing Program, featuring approximately twenty exceptional essays culled from hundreds of submissions.
